Re: The latest from TRI |
Why Rob? I've been to the site to check vids out. Jackie Green's take on Sugaree was excellent. But, from my 5' perusal I don't get why. Is it like TED? Interesting forums? Help me please.

Re: The latest from TRI |
Whatever your feelings on his Bobness (and I know not what they are) it's certainly worth it to check in on the exploits of Mr Lesh, who should be granted world heritage status in my estimation.
Oh, and what's TED? The hour is late and I am old...

4-Katy Perry
5-Fox "News"

Re: The latest from TRI |
What's Katy Perry?
Actually, I'm sorry to report that I know the answer now. I googled her and even started a YouTube clip. Something called Teenage Dream that 70 million people watched and about 6,000 were sensible enough to dislike. I didn't manage to finish. Is she really THAT big that you actually HEAR about her? With who? I mean, 70 million of them, too ...
Thank you for the pop culture update. This is such an educational site. I learn things from smart people named BobsShortShorts.
edit edit: Well, I played it for my resident teenager. Without comment. Legitimate experiment and all. He made me turn it off after like 30 seconds. I quote: "That doesn't just stink. It stinks so much you can cut it out of the air and use it as cheap building material." Ah, there is hope for the Young Generation yet ...

Was that not awesome? (IKYR) Wish I could get it to be full screen.
I am very impressed with the quality of the video presentations, and look forward to more.
The Other One is real cool too – Steve Kimock !

Re: The latest from TRI |
I have not enjoyed any of the music the various band members have produced since Jerry passed, but I must admit I have enjoyed some of the stuff I have seen here on the tristudios site. The Jackie Greene Sugaree,Bob's solo acoustic Black Throated contained an impassioned vocal ,the triday the 13th show is in my mind just the type of reinvention of the bands catalog that you would think we would have been hearing for years now,and the version of Let it Grow with the horn and string players was just killer.I find Furthur to be unlistenable and pointless, although Jeff Chimenti is a fine musician and his playing on that Rider was real nice. The audio and video components of the site are just phenomenal.
